Why I might be the coach for you

  • I'm a coach. Coaching is my profession and my passion. It isn't something I do because I got burned out on Wall Street, or bored with my desk job. It's not a side-gig until I get my big break as an actor or model. I've been coaching athletes for 30 years, and I'll do it for as long as there are people who want me to.

  • I can help you. I've coached national and world caliber athletes, but I'm equally proud to have helped literally thousands of runners get started through Nike, JackRabbit, and my City Coach corporate fitness programs for Warner Media, the NYC MTA, and more. I'm serious about helping anyone who's serious about improving - whether that means winning nationals or finishing their first race healthy.

  • I understand your health and medical issues. I have a masters degree in exercise physiology, and am flattered to get referrals from doctors, physical therapists, nutritionists and other fitness professionals who know I can handle their high risk clientele. And if there are medical issues I don't understand, I have a great network of medical professionals to help me out.

  • I know you're an individual. Even if two athletes have similar goals, their physiology, history, personality and work schedules may be very different, and that dictates a different approach. That's why I don't use formulas and templates to create training plans.

  • I don't care who you race for. I love that I coach athletes (and other coaches) from some of the top local clubs, including PPTC, CPTC, Empire Tri, Brooklyn Tri, and Dashing Whippets, as well as some who prefer to be lone wolves.

    Why I might not

  • I'm not here to make friends or win a popularity contest. I'm just here to make you faster and keep you healthy. Sometimes what I say might ruffle a few feathers, or I might give you an answer you don't like. But I'll always play it straight.
